Wednesday, April 21, 2010 - UK & European airspace reopens
From 10pm UK time last night UK airspace reopened and transatlantic flights started operating. We are pleased to say that every single one of our travellers that was stranded by the volcano was on one of the first flights out. We made sure that every traveller had a boarding pass in hand and that the flight left on time. We have done this at no additional charge to our clients as we consider this part of the service we provide to them. We are only happy that we have been able to get people moving again & reunited with their loved ones.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010 - More ash being pumped into the atmosphere
The latest update is that the volcano started pumping more ash into the airspace over the UK and consequently LHR remains closed. We are now in a "wait & see" mode again and will diligently try and reaccomodate clients who are stuck in their European destinations. Currently we have managed to confirm space each time the start date is pushed back. We are again hoping the flights will operate on 21 APR, even if they are delayed. Clients stuck on Continental Europe have also been reaccomodated to the 1st flights out. We are recommending a minimum of 4 hours check in for your reaccomodated flights as we are holding psace for you but reissues of tickets (which airlines have stupidly taken away from us) may be necessary. We are reminding passengers who are reaccomodated in the Economy class cabin on the same airline, but purchased busienss class to please keep their boarding passes and forward to us so we can submit a claim for downgrade on your behalf.

Monday, April 19, 2010 - Latest update from NATS
The NATS website and Sky News are both reporting that Scottish airspace will open at 0700hrs UK time on 20 APR.. UK midlands will be about 12noon and the south east (London) will be about 600pm. We are assuming some flights will start to leave right away as the UK will be operating airports for 24 hours a day until the backlog is cleared. For all travellers it is VITAL you have a valid copy of your VT link with you. If you are waitlisted for flights it will clear here and you will be able to see your confirmation numbers/ confirmed flight details/ real time departure information etc... We will be contacting each traveller by email or phone to ensure they understand their situation. We will NOT be helping customers who call who havent made their bookings with us. We are recommending check in time of 4 hours prior to departure for all departing flights to and from the UK/Europe when the system begins to operate again.

Sunday, April 18, 2010 - Travel blackout over the UK and much of Europe
This morning several UK & European airlines ran test flights to see the affect the ash will have on their aircraft. Results are still forthcoming. Please be advised that we are reaccomodating clients on the first available flights with their airlines and this will remain our highest priority. As the travel "restart" date is pushed back the number of clients affected continues to grow. Your patience is requested regarding domestic USA and non-affected flights as these will be considered as secondary until all stranded clients are reaccomodated onto the first available flights.
